Table relationship?
I've made a DTS package in SQL server 2000 to import tables and data from an
Access 2000 database. Everything works fine except for one thing: The table
relationships aren't there...does anyone know why and how I should do it
instead?

Strategic Question for Migration to SQL-Server
Hello!
I don´t know if this is the right place for this question, but for me it´s
critical to know the answer for further planning.
We´ve written a very large application that runs on MS Access 2K3. It has a
Frontend, that links tables to so called "projects". Each Project is an
Access Database, that is getting linked after opening the project.
The questions are the following:
- is it possible to automate the upsizing process?
- is it possible to "load" and "unload" th ...

Access 97 Front End with SQL Server 2000/2005 Backend
Hi Guys/Gals
I am trying to start the planning of a project that will take our Access 97
Application and upsize it to a .Net Web Application and SQL Server Backend.
I am proposing that we upgrade the backends and link out existing
application to the new SQL Server. Then build the new Frontend.
Has anybody linked an Access Frontend 97 through ODBC? Any advice, tips or
results (Performance etc)? We have been using the SSW Upsizing Pro for the
conversion but I am in the dark wi ...

Error Migrating Data
I can convert the schema for my access database, load the schema into SQL
Server, but when I try to migrate data none of the rows are migrated. The
only information SSMA gives me is that there was an error migrating data for
that table. Any suggestions??

upsize wizard can't find SQLEXPRESS
I'm using Access 2003 and SQL Server 2005 Express. I want to convert my .MDB
file into a SQL server database. I used the upsizing wizard. It gave me an
error saying:
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][Shared Memory]SQL Server does not exist
or access denied.
I have administrator priveledges. Why can't it find the local SQLEXPRESS
server? Does the .MDB file have to be in the SQLEXPRESS folder first?
I looked at the MS knowledge base for answers but it didn't seem to be
referring to my exact problem.

If I upsize my Access DB to SQL 2005, will my queries be converted to stored
procedures also, or will I need to recreate all of those?

generate SSIS package from SSMA for Access
Hey, I remember that I generated a package (*.dtsx) once from inside the
SSMA, it was like an export of script, but then something like that for the
data migration. I'm looking for that now, but I can't find it anywhere????
Am I just mistaking and isn't it possible or am I looking over something?
Please help!

When I run Create Report on a table some of the messages I get are about the
Auto increment attribute being ignored but the columns mentioned do not have
the attribute set. Am I doing something wrong?

Attempting to upsize from Access 2007 beta 2 to SQL Server 2005
I have been getting the error message:
The Upsizing Wizard only works with Microsoft SQL Server (Versions 6.50 SP5
or higher). Please log in to a SQL Server data source.
I have created a new account with all rights privledges and such for the
sole purpose of building this new database --
Is this a bug in Access 2007 beta 2 that we have noticed or is it some
btidbit I am overlooking.
Thanks
Wendell

Import in 2005
Where can I find info. on how to import Access tables into SQL 2005? I have
used it in SQL 2000 using DTS but not in 2005. Also, can I save my
importing scripts (development) for running on a different server
(production)? Thanks.
