ASP.NET, SQL Server, WPF, C#, VB.NET

Hi,  
  
In an environment where the web servers are not located on same LAN,  
  
should I use two stager servers or just one?  
  
For example I have a web form in New York and the other one, say, in  
  
Chicago (for disaster recovery). So in this case should I use one  
  
Stager or two?  
  
Any help will be highly appreicated.

Do I really need to have a stager server or I can do the deployment  
  
without that as well?
