We are educating programmers/systemdevelopers. During the education, we have 
 
an Axapta programming course. 
 
In that respect, I am about to setup an Axapta environment for my students, 
 
and I would like to setup a 3-tier environment. Until now, we have run the 
 
course in a 2-tier envirunment According to the help system in Axapta, it 
 
should not be a problem at all. Just set up and run a 2-tier first and then

I have a box that store 32 items. 
 
When I create a sales order with one box and deliver first 4 items then 28 
 
items I get the following problem: 
 
The first packing list 0,13 (should have been 0,125) 
 
The second packing list 0,88 (should have been 0,875) 
 
Invoice quantity 1,01  (but when I look at the inventory it is 32 items that 
 
have been removed from the inventory)

Hi, in setting up the 4.0 dimension rules for a customer I wanted to bring 
 
forward two suggestions: 
 
1) if there is a x:1 relationship in the hierarchies between 2 dimensions, 
 
please allow for defaulting the :1 value into the dimension field. Currently, 
 
I can limit the selections to the 1 value that is possible but it would be 
 
more practical to simply default it into the field once the other dimension 
 
has been picked.

Basic Setup: 1 parent w/ 5 component (Item Type), coverage time fence 365 
 
and period 30...this coverage is for the parent only i did not put coverage 
 
data on component. I got 0 on hand for the 6 items.

Hi i have a training database which i want to query for individual records. I 
 
have setup a form with 2 text boxes and a 'search button' .  The first box is 
 
for employees and the second is for courses.  I want to put in the name of 
 
'bloggs' or 'joe bloggs' and return all the training courses he has been on - 
 
or put in a course name and who has sat it

A client of ours has complained that the error log when trying to post an 
 
inventory transaction does not give all the error messages at one time. 
 
So, they will try and post a purchase order, for example, and some errors 
 
will be displayed. When they fix these errors and post again, more errors are 
 
displayed. They want all the errors displayed at one time. 
 
Is there a way that the text on the infolog can be increased as I think this 
 
may be the problem.

So I installed this programmer from this shady website called Necrocosm, 
 
called AIMAdRemover 4.01. The program works fine, and prevents Aim from 
 
showing ads, but I think it somehow permanently deleted an important flash 
 
storage registry value, because I cannot use the online flash radio at 
 
www.pandora.com. The website keeps telling me that local flash storage 
 
settings are disabled, but I have done everything that the macromedia website 
 
has suggested to no avail. Does anyone have ideas?

Question1: Is it possible to allocate misc. charges depending on the weight 
 
of the different articles, i.e. the heavier the freight the more misc. 
 
charges? How is this done? 
 
Question 2: Is there some way to prioritize between reservations depending 
 
on when they (the articles) are due to be delivered ? 
 
Ex: If one article is reserved, but not due for delivery until next week,

If a company have 2 different business activities with 2 separate Axapta 
 
applications, are there a way that the 2 applications can communicate with 
 
each other and share information from the general ledger accounts? For 
 
example, the company wants to report the sales tax together for the 2 
 
business activities.

I wonder if it´s possible to use some of the modules in Axapta without using 
 
the finance module? In other words, can i use an other separate system for 
 
the finance part which can communicate with Axapta?

I am trying set up posting physical sales tax in connenction with updating 
 
of Packig slip to the General ledger. I already set up Inventory parameters 
 
(Post physical sales tax), Inventory models gruops (Post physical inventory), 
 
Acounts payable parametrs (Post packing slip i ledger) and also Inventory 
 
posting for Packing slip tax on Purchase order tab. 
 
When I update packing slip there are transaction on the General ledger, but 
 
no transaction for VAT..Can you help me??

I run Job Scheduling. BOM w/ 5 components (all one for one). 
 
Basic Data: Nothing is reserved before the calc is run (period Coverage 
 
Code) + 0 on hand for all Parent and component. I placed a SO for 1 piece due 
 
in 20 days from now. The result is giving me exactly what i wanted. But i 
 
changed the SO date in 10 days from now. 
 
Result: The planned Purchase orders for the 5 components have a Req. Qty of

Hi, from SP3 onwards you're allowed to use the same operation name (.e.g 
 
"Press") on more than one operation on a route (Op 10, 20, 30 etc). But I've 
 
noticed that if I do that in SP5, and then change the work centre or times on 
 
one of the operations, the times change on the other operations with the same 
 
name. 
 
Is that how it's supposed to work?

I have a server with two applications on it, they only look for the other 
 
application via IP. 
 
When on the same server they work fine, but when on different physical 
 
servers they fail. 
 
The network is not the issue because when we tell the servers to use HTTP 
 
1.0 they start to work. 
 
We have tested/replaced the physical network/server hardware and have 
 
illiminated the physical hardware.

1. why does it work when using HTTP 1.0?
