Production picking list posting doesn't identify an error if you have the
same item on two lines in the picking list, and the item's on-hand inventory
is sufficient for either line individually (but not together).
For instance, take an item with an on-hand inventory of 2.00. Create a
production order picking list with two lines for the item, one for quantity =
2.00, the other line for quantity = 1.00. Validate the picking list, and you
are told that the journal is OK. Post the picking list with ‘Transfer
error(s) to new journal’ ticked, the posting fails, but the errors aren’t
transferred to a new journal.
Inventory journal validation should cater for multiple demands for the same
item.
