I have a server with two applications on it, they only look for the other
application via IP.
When on the same server they work fine, but when on different physical
servers they fail.
The network is not the issue because when we tell the servers to use HTTP
1.0 they start to work.
We have tested/replaced the physical network/server hardware and have
illiminated the physical hardware.
My question is
1. why does it work when using HTTP 1.0?
2. How far down the OSI layer does the application go before it realises its
the same server?
