I wonder if it´s possible to use some of the modules in Axapta without using 
 
the finance module? In other words, can i use an other separate system for 
 
the finance part which can communicate with Axapta?

Yes you can but you have to take care about the data exchange. Also you 
 
should think about that you need to pay for two Axapta systems as the 
 
license does not allow to split the module usage to separeate systems.
