trendmicro office scan client update is not working anymore
Hello,

This morning, our trendmicro officescan server broke down and since

then, some of the clients are not able anymore to do the download of

the virus patterns.

After some research, I found out that the problem seems to come from

the IIS-download directory(web sites\officescan\officescan\download),

where the trendmicro publishes its downloads for the clients

(corresponds to the URL: "http://<trendsus-server>:8080/OfficeScan

/download/"). It seems that the client do ...

I am trying to migrate Lotus Domino 6 to Exchange 2003 SP2 which sits

on Microsoft Small Business Server 2003.

I have configured the connector and it successfully links up to the

domino server, but when i select a mailbox to migrate the screen shows

that 1 has migrated and 1 error, i then go to the Windows 2003 Server

sbs 2003 active sync
I have an ipaq 6515 with mobile 2003 and trying to connect wirelessly

to my sbs 2003 w/active sync. I need to know where to place the .cer

file on the handheld so when I run the SPAddcert.exe program it will

find it. I keep getting an error saying there are no certificate

files found. For some reason the web cert that was created through

the internet connection wizard wasn't pushed to it.

If someone knows another way to get the certificate on there I would

greatly appreciate it. Thanks. tb

Success Audits (Event Viewer)
I have 147,808 "Success Audits" in my event viewer (Security) since 8/5/06.

Is there a way to not have these post. It seems like an awful lot of entries

in such a short period of time. Can we log only failures? Would that be an

acceptable solution, and how would we go about doing that. I am at a loss.

SBS 2003 logon to remote desktop
Just a quick question that is probably elementary but I can’t find the

answer. After adding a mobile user to the domain using the mobile user

template in SBS 2003, that user can connect through remote web workplace and

do everything except he/she can’t logon to their remote desktop. They get

the old “the local policy of this system does not allow you to logon on

interactively”. My question is what else needs to be done to allow them to

connect to their own desktop. Any info would be helpful. Thanks. tb

SBS 2003 Internal Webpage
I’m in the process of redesigning the internal website (http://companyweb)

and I need to delete everything and literally start from scratch because some

key things have gotten permanently deleted and I can’t restore them. The only

way I get them to reappear is when I create a new “team site” in a different

location like http://companyweb/newsite instead of the default

http://companyweb. How do completely start from scratch? I have tried

Buying SSL cert for OWA, RWW etc. in SBS2003
Am using OWA, RWW etc. externally at the moment, but without a 3rd party SSL

cert (during setup I just entered the external IP address of the server, so

we access using http://221.2.3.4/exchange etc. (we get asked to ok a cert in

the browser each time and it switches to https, incidentally)

Now going to get the GeoTrust dedicated digital certificate as it seems

cheap - however it seems to talk about entering domain names etc.

SMB Lincese code check
Is there a way for me to check to see if a license code has been used

before? I assume that Microsoft must have a database linking these codes to

equipment. I have found a license code in my files that I believe to have

not been used but I would like to be able to check first before I try

applying it to a server.

Print queue on SBS2003 premium
Hi,

The setup includes a SBS2003 premium server, with SP1, plus a member Windows

2000 server with SP4. The SBS2003 server has two netwrok cards, one for the

LAN and one for the Internet router.

The W2K server controls a print queue for a Ricoh 1022 printer with integral

print server.

Just lately, all the XP Pro SP2 workstations experience a long delay, when

connecting to the print share on the W2K server. W2K Pro workstations are

Roaming profile-one user can logon the other cannot on a new PC

When i try to logon as him, i get "unable to logon with your roaming

profile, lookingn for a cached version etc" it doesn't find that and

then says"trying to logon with local profile" it can't do that either

that if you run over your SBS Cals the server basically shuts down, is this

true?

2nd DC in a SBS 2003 environment

Here's the recap: We run SBS 2003 premium. I wanted to setup a 2nd DC in

the case of failure of our SBS box. My thinking is that internal users could

still access 2 separate servers (file & web) if the SBS box goes down.

Here's what I did: Installed W2K3 std on a workstation, ran dcpromo, made

it a global catalog, installed/configured DNS & installed

installed/configured DHCP.

SBS 2003 license question/ Adding a new server to the domain
Hello,

IÂ’m currently running Windows Small Business Server 2003 with 10 devise

cals. Here are my dumb questions...

1) Does the server that SBS is installed on count as 1 of the 10 licenses?

Or do I have 10 licenses for 10 other computers? (I hope that made some

sense)

2) I just bought a 2nd server with Windows Server 2003, what is the best way

to add this machine to my current domain? Do I have to use a SBS devise cal

for this new server or can I just plug it in to the n ...
