Moving Exchange Mailboxes from old Server to new Server
We have configured a new Server with Windows 2000 SBS to replace the old

Server.

All the settings including administrator, usernames, computer name,

passwords are identical.

How would you suggest we move the Exchange Mailboxes from the old Server to

the new Server.

Can we do this after the old Server has been taken off the network.

Your help is appreciated.

Regards,

buySAFE is now protecting 3,000,000 listings on eBay
I recently did a post on buySAFE and how they bond sellers on eBay.

Today (on the buySAFE blog), they announced 3,000,000 listings are

being protected by their service.

If the seller has the buySAFE seal - the transaction is guaranteed.

Upgrade failing
I am attempting to upgrade from SBS 2000 to SBS 2003. I have gone through the

"best practices" documents and tried to make the changes they suggest

including installing SBS SP-1 etc. When I attempt to run setup it does the

checks, gives me the 4 standard warnings (backup your data, no connection

sharing, upgrade licenses, and DS restore password). I accept the warnings

and continue. Setup begins but less than a minute into setup I get an error

message "Setup was interrupted be ...

FYI: Windows Live OneCare Blocks Outbound VPN
If you use VPN and have remote workers who install Windows Live OneCare in

its default configuration, they will no longer be able to access your

network using VPN. OneCare blocks GRE by default, so when attempting a

connection, users receive Error 721 - The remote computer did not respond.

The fix is to open OneCare and click View or Change Settings. On the

Firewall tab, click Advanced, then go to the Ports and Protocols tab. Check

the box to enable "VPN - General Routing En ...

Client Setup Wizard
Hi,

Can someone please confirm something for me. When running a SBS2003

Slow Download from SBS 2000 Server
Please help. Our office has SBS 2000 with a Dell PowerEdge 2600.

Uploading from workstation to server is pretty fast (56Mbps), but

downloading from the server is extremely slow (2.4Mbps). These numbers

are fairly consistent during business hours and after business hours.

I have added 2GB of memory and a 15,000 RPM hard drive to the server

recently and neither has helped. Workstation to workstation is

consistently 72Mbps, so I am fairly certain that it is not a switch

system still wont boot
Sorry to bother you guys again.

I have quite a bizarre problem with a dell poweredge 2500 server, running

windows 2000. The initial problem was that the system rebooted after the "NT

Authority System" initiated a shutdown (status code 128, the thing where it

counts down fron 60 seconds and cant be stopped) after this when attempting

to boot we got the Blue "STOP"

This series of events happened when a Dell powervault tape drive was

replaced with a newer model. My colleague th ...

Using my SBS for email without using a 3rd party host
Hi,

Im quite new to SBS but looking from the questions on here most of you

on here arent using the pop3 connector for your email. How do you have your

email set up? I cuurently utilise a 3rd party who host our mail and web

pages. Can I use SBS to do that for me?

Thanks,

Multiple email addresses with different domains in Exchange
Hi,

Does anyone know how you can configure exchange to be able to handle

more than one domain name? E.g I have a user that has a pop3 account they

need to be able to utilise but it is different from the domain name already

being utilised in Exchange.

Currently for both mail domains they are Pop3 so exchange is just picking

the mails up from s specified mail server and that is going to be the case

with this other domain.

Any help would be great!

Cheers,

Buying SSL cert for OWA, RWW etc. in SBS2003

Now going to get the GeoTrust dedicated digital certificate as it seems

cheap - however it seems to talk about entering domain names etc.

Secure folders and Outlook
Hi, we have three people in our company ( let's say ABC) who are

starting a subsidiary company (let's say XYZ) but want to remain on our

SBS 2000 network infrastructure. Basically I need to limit their

access to specific folders on the server and make sure they can use

Outlook to send / receive email but only have access to XYZ employees

Outlook mail / calanders and not our company, ABC, Outlook information.

Was wondering if anyone had some best practices in implementing this

kind of scenerio? Thanks.

Local network access from WAN IP
I know this is probably an easy question but I have not come across

this before.

We have a block of 5 static IP's. One IP is used for our WAN

connection on SBS another IP is used for our security camera system.

What I would like to do is use a third public IP for a second building

we're occupying and I would like to be able to access SBS through the

third IP as if it we're on the LAN and not a public IP.

How do I configure ISA to treat the third IP as part of the LAN?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
