Hi,

Im quite new to SBS but looking from the questions on here most of you

on here arent using the pop3 connector for your email. How do you have your

email set up? I cuurently utilise a 3rd party who host our mail and web

pages. Can I use SBS to do that for me?

Thanks,

In the absence of a good reason for using POP (and I can't think of any

offhand), you'll want to switch to SMTP for your e-mail. Here's a place to

start, and you should feel free to post back with follow-up questions.

http://msmvps.com/blogs/javier/archive/2004/10/25/16621.aspx. If you're new

to servers in general, one pointer I'd give you is to plan in advance and

test everything, and this is no exception.

By the way, assuming this is SBS 2003, you'll get a better response in

microsoft.public.windows.server.sbs. This group is for SBS 2k, and while

your questions will probably be answered here regardless, there's a lot more

traffic in the other group.
