If you use VPN and have remote workers who install Windows Live OneCare in
its default configuration, they will no longer be able to access your
network using VPN. OneCare blocks GRE by default, so when attempting a
connection, users receive Error 721 - The remote computer did not respond.
The fix is to open OneCare and click View or Change Settings. On the
Firewall tab, click Advanced, then go to the Ports and Protocols tab. Check
the box to enable "VPN - General Routing Encapsulation (GRE)"
FWIW, my early impression is that the OneCare firewall is a lot more full
featured than the XP SP2 firewall. It seems like this is going to be the
first place to look if you have network issues with remote clients or home
networks.
