Subreports don't display in CRM report viewer
I have a report that displays a series of subreports.  This works fine when 
 
I deploy it manually but when I deploy it through CRM none of the subreports 
 
are uploaded, therefore they don't display.  This is true of an image on the 
 
report as well. 
 
IF I look at the catalog in the ReportServer database I can see that the 
 
manually deployed report is accompanied by the graphic and the subreports in 
 
the Catalog table.  The additional items are all marked as hiden=true as

Email activities should not be closed when received in CRM

I think the "this is by design" way to go with the emails being 
 
automatically put on the "closed" status when received in CRM through the 
 
Exchange Router is not the good approach and I'll explain why:

Email Templates should have option for attachments
There should be an option to attach a file (or files) to a template email. 
 
Many of my clients want to use bulk email not just for marketing activities 
 
but for things like RFPs, questionaires, newsletters, etc. 
 
I understand that this could cause issues by attaching a large file to 
 
thousands of email activities, but the option would be nice.

I thought I would share our finding. 
 
By increasing the size of the IIS cache you can gain massive improvement in 
 
the CRM load time.  Due to the massive improvements we have got, we are in 
 
the process of implementing at all of our client sites. 
 
To do this you will need to add a registry entry into the following location: 
 
HKEY_Local_Machine\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\InetInfo\Parameters 
 
Type: DWORD 
 
Name: MemCacheSize 
 
Value: 5000000

Install CRM 3.0 Professional on SBS 2003
I know that CRM 3.0 SBE can only be installed on a SBS 2003 premium edition. 
 
But does anybody know if we can install CRM 3.0 Professional on a SBS 2003 
 
Premium? 
 
I do not see any reason why it would not work, but I prefer to check first.

Startup Error with the CRM 3.0 Outlook Client
For the past two days, my CRM users are getting an error when they first try 
 
to access CRM from Outlook.  The error says -- 
 
An error has occurred.  For more information, contact your system 
 
administrator. 
 
After restarting Outlook twice, they are able to use CRM without issue. 
 
Does anyone know why this error is happening and how I can fix it?

Check Box Creates Null value
I have a number of check boxes on a form for which the attributes' default 
 
value is no (a value of 0). When the record is created, all check boxes are 
 
empty. If the user checks it, the answer is yes (a value of 1). 
 
HOWEVER the database value is NULL if I never check the box. The only way I 
 
can get a value of 0 is if I check and un-check the box. This problem does 
 
not surface if my form is formatted using two radio buttons. 
 
This makes the advanced find ineffective.

Anyone running SQL 2005 Worgroup Edition with CRM 3.0?  We've done a few 
 
installation with SQL2005 Std and Enterprise and they went ok, but I did an 
 
installation against a Workgroup Edition yesterday and when I try to run 
 
reports I get the following big ugly error: 
 
"report history snapshot is not supported on this version of reporting 
 
services"

Accounts Corrupt
I have two accounts with 100+ contacts. The Activities, History, 
 
Opportunities, Quotes, Orders, Invoices, Cases, and Contracts links are all 
 
generating excpetion errors when accessed. 
 
I tried merging the records with new ones. The new records exhibited the 
 
same problems, while the old records' are free of error. 
 
Is there a limit to the number of records that can be associated with an

CRM to Excel basics
CRM 3.0 and SQL 2005 server are running in the same machine at an active 
 
domain different than the active domain from which i'm connecting to the CRM 
 
through my client computer. Both computers are in the same private network 
 
though. 
 
When attempting to export data to a dynamic table i get a failed login 
 
error: 18452 saying the user is not a trusted connection.

Options missing after install Outlook client tools
I am using CRM 3. I am a backup admin and after installing the Outlook 
 
tools for CRM on my machine the settings option to the bottom left is 
 
gone so I can't change any of the settings and also the calendar option 
 
is gone from the upper left side of the screen. If I login as myself on

401.1 errors
At first, only users who were members of the Domain Admin group could access 
 
the CRM server.  After a reboot of workstations and server, now no one can 
 
connect. 
 
Whenever I attempt to connect to CRM, I am asked for my login information 
 
(three time) and then I receive a 401.1 error.  I have seen other messages on 
 
the boards with similar problems, but none seemed to help. 
 
If anyone can give offer guidance, it would be appreciated.

Assign Case Owner as Logical Owner of Account set in Case
