Is it possible to hide certain contacts from users? I have tried sharing 
 
contacts and assigning permissions to specific users but they still appear 
 
under everyone's workplace.

There is an way to do this. You have to create 2 extra BU's under the main 
 
BU. 
 
Seperate the users in these two BU's. Using the roles you can now seperate 
 
accounts and contacts.
