Hi All,

I have tried several times to create a replica for my user's home folder and

the data seems to be copied correctly, but then when the consistency check

happens it fails at some point (not always the same).

The total amount of replica being created is about 650GB.

Here is the error I'm getting.

The following alert occurred at 8/4/2006 11:14:09 PM.

Status: Active

Volume: F:\

Server: Myservernamre

Description: Replica inconsistent with data source.

The replica on the DPM server for F:\ on Myservernamre is inconsistent.

Changes cannot be applied to file \USERS\someuser\MY DOCUMENTS\MY

PICTURES\SCREENSHOTS\EDUCATION_CTR\THUMBS.DB:ENCRYPTABLE.

For more information, open DPM Administrator Console and review the alert

details in the Monitoring task area.

I have the lastes DPM patches install and I'm getting no other errors on the

server.

Did anyone has experienced the same issue?

Thank you

That file says Thumbs.db:encryptable.... is this file encrypted? DPM cannot

protect encrypted files....

Also, could you please check and make sure that the SYSTEM account has

read/write permissions on that file?

If neither of these suggestions help... then could you please look for other

errors in the file/dpm server event logs for error codes and the DPM UI? If

there are other clues then it would help figure out what is going on...

Thanks!
