I am just no beginning to use a Nikon D50.  Can this digital photography 
 
encompasses the same range of tones or light values as the pro color 
 
negativefilms  in the camera, so to speak--or must the images be manipulated 
 
after exposure.  It seems as if my digiimages do not handle contrasty light 
 
very well. 
 
Should I still be thinking in terms of eight zones ala my BW darkroom days?

I read in a magazine that Adobe has periodic downloads to add support for 
 
different RAW formats for both their Photoshop and their Photoshop Elements

I installed Digital Image Suite 2006 (DIS 2006) on my new laptop and the DVD 
 
drive became inoperable (yellow exclamation point.)  I tried to reinstall the 
 
driver, but that didn't help.  I used the Restore Point prior to the install 
 
of DIS 2006, and the DVD drive works.  I reinstalled DIS 2006 and the DVD 
 
quits working.  So now I am back at the restore point prior to the install of

When scanning in a document using my HP Scanjet 4600, and selecting 
 
Microsoft Office Document Imaging as the program to launch, things used to 
 
work great. However, after upgrading to Office 2003 (from Office XP), though 
 
Microsoft Office Document Imaging shows up in the list of programs (twice 
 
actually), when I select it, nothing happens. No error messages, nothing. I

home products.  It appears that the image from Digital Image suite says 
 
Digital Image Suite Anniversary Edition.  Any details about that?  I can't 
 
find any on Microsoft.com.

I want to scan a brochure and post it on the web. 
 
I scanned the page at 300 dpi and saved the picture as BMP. 
 
I tried everything to scale it down but the text turned fuzzy no matter what 
 
I did. 
 
Would you guys show me the trick to do this please?

I have been using this program for years.Today 
 
allof a sudden icould not access it. I kept getting this message:"Something 
 
is missing" no matter what I diđAnd I tried everything I know including 
 
reinstalling it). 
 
Microsoft support won't help me.They consider the program obsolite.Help!... 
 
P.S.:By the way "ENZER" appears to be quite knowledgeable on Home Publisher

Using DIS 2006, I often like to save a modified version of a photo over the 
 
original.  Suddenly I can no longer do that and when I try, I get an error 
 
message. 
 
I had the same problem before and found the solution here but cannot seem to 
 
find it now.  I can us Save As but most of the time I prefer not to.  TerryS

Just upgrading from MS Image Composer to MS Digital Image. Everything seems 
 
improved except the handling of animated gifs, which I was surprised to find 
 
couldn't be viewed in MSDI. "Web animation" doesn't do the trick. How do I 
 
make an animated gif with different images, or simply load in an already 
 
existing animated gif? What happened to "gif animator" which was part of 
 
Image Composer?

I posted a note on 6/19 (Moire effect) and would like to use this as an 
 
example in a user group meeting to be held on 8/24. Is this chain likely to 
 
still exist on 8/24 or will it have been deleted by then? Does it make any 
 
difference if I go through the chain periodically like I'm looking at it?

Is this a good product for my image collections it is almost 30GB and 
 
thosunds of photos. or could you recomend something better for me?

This error is occuring in DIP 10 and DIS 2006.  I have a 3x2" canvas with an 
 
image and some text. However the text in a certain font is being cut off, for 
 
example a capital T will cut off part of the top of the T so it looks like a 
 
7 instead of a T.  Doesn't seem to matter at what % i'm viewing at.  I try to 
 
drag the text around the canvas and its as if I have a sliced layer or 
 
something where the T will then be partially hidden (a white slice covering 
 
it) and part of it still  ...

Twice in the past 6 weeks or so the "create a project" option stops working. 
 
It takes a reinstall to fix. Any ideas?

I use bilinear interpolation algrithm in my rotate function. 
 
the inner of the image is done well, but the edge is as worse as no 
 
interpolation.
