Open the Editor with an image loaded. Open Common Tasks. Click Create a

Project in Quick Links frame. Click Frame / Mats. Select Simple Photo Frame.

Click Open. The window changes and the left pane is titled Simple Frame. The

image you loaded is on the right. The instructions under the Simple Frame

title are specific, but how do I continue on to step 2? None of the other

things I can click in this window lead to an image surrounded by a frame,

which is what I expect. Maybe I expect too much, I have used this editor for

a variety of editing functions and they all work great, but when I try nearly

anything using create a project, I have never been happy. Things just don't

work, or I don't like the results.

I have re-installed DIS 2006 (Full install, this time) with my anti-virus

off on a Windows XP SP2 machine with all the critical updates applied. I have

1.5 GB Ram and lots of disk space.

After you select Frames/Mats, double click on Photo simple frame. If you

already have the photo you want to frame open, skip step 1. Number 2

reads: To select a picture to use as a frame, click Next.

The Next button is at the bottom left of screen.

After you click on Next, the next window gives you the option of using one

of the DIP gallery pictures or opening a picture from your computer. To use

one from your computer you need to click on "Look elsewhere" and browse to

the location you have it saved.

The next screen gives you the option of frame widths. Check one then click

Next.

The next screen gives you the option of changing the colour of the frame.

To leave it as it is just click on Next.

The next screen allows you to move/resize the picture.

Click Done when finished.
