I have been using Windows XP Pro for about 3+ years. Lately, the following

problems seem to have erupted:

1. When I boot up, I get the following message near the end of the boot:

"Windows - No Disk -- There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk

into drive. Cancel; Try Again; Continue." If I click on any of the 3 -

cancel, try again or continue, the block remains. If I click on the (X) in

the top right, 3-4 X, it will disappear. On a couple of occasions, I inserted

the Windows CD, but it made no difference.

2. On occasion, it seems to crash or freeze particularly with WORD 2003. It

even crashes or freezes may be more correct with Spider Solitaire. Necessary

to reboot.

3. The computer has been running extremely slowly particularly with WORD and

occasionally with the other Office programs. Internet explorer (beta 7) is

also quite slow (I use Telus broadband).

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated as it gets a bit annoying at

times.

Thanks. Norm.
