How do you connect to sdf files from SSMS 2008 SQL Server

How do you connect to sdf files from SSMS 2008

I have sql 2008 SP1 installed and I am trying to connect to a SDF file (from SSMS) I created in VS 2008.

Loads of blogs say that you can connect but I am not seeing the SQL Compact as a server option when I connect in SSMS.
