web page image control

I have the web page working so that it will display an image from a database image column.  I'm okay with that but I'd like to think there is a better way to achieve the result without the sub page for the image.imageurl to call.  Is there an existing control out there that would take a memory stream or byte array as it's source for a web page?  A pay for control is ok just as long as it works.

Can anyone think of how to create a control that would do the above?
