Outlook - Mouse cursor not allowing for editing and deleting

I had this problem once before and I fixed it somehow (or it fixed itself).  Now I'm having the same problem, only in OUTLOOK. 

Can you assist me?

I have found a resolution here, you need to do some minor change in the registry let's try this and let me know whether this is helpful or not,

it might be worth using the Office diagnostic tools which may be able to repair the problem. Launch Microsoft Word and then clcik on the Office logo in the top left hand corner. Next click on the Word Options button (bottom right of logo menu). In the Word Options window clcik on the Resources option and then click the Diagnose button next to the 'run Microsoft Office Diagnostics' option. It may take a while to complete the diagnostic tests so be patient. Also make sure you are connected to the internet in case the diagnostic application has to connect the Microsoft servers.

Try changing the hive Office to Office.old in the registry 

1) Regedit

2) HKEY_CURRENT_USER >> SOFTWARE >> MICROSOFT

3) Inside the hive MICROSOFT  righ click the hive Office and rename it to Office.old

4) Exit Regedit and try with a new doc/e-mail

This will reset your Office settings at the user level
