Windows Vista - WINDOWS Mail password

Hi
Thanks for listening,

I suddenly am receiving a box to enter my user name and password for windows mail....
I am not sure what that is, I log onto my computer and type name and password there
I am getting the errors below

 Account: 'WINDOWS mail', Server: 'mail.charter.net', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR a password MUST be entered', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92

You'll need to go to your ISP, charter.net, and ask them to either send your username and password to you, or reset them. Their email account credentials have nothing to do with the credentials you use to log onto your PC.

Go to Tools, Accounts, select that mail account, Properties, Servers. Uncheck the box for "Log on using Secure Password Authentication."
Also, go to the Advanced tab and uncheck the SSL option. One or both of those bad settings can cause that error.
