Windows Vista - Why does my cursor jump around when I type

when typing my cursor jumps all over the page

try this-

Click the Start> select Control Panel> click Hardware> click Mouse.
Click the Pointer Options tab,
and then do the following:

Uncheck the Hide Pointer While Typing.

Click OK to save.

HI

try this

Double click on touch pad icon in your system tray.
 click on "Pointer Options".
Then click on "Advanced" tab in left upper corner.
 Click on Advanced Feature setting.
Click on "Settings" in Pointer speed and tapping setting box.
Uncheck "Enable Tap" box.
Click Apply.
You are all set.

Hi, the jumping cursor problem is a Boot Sector Virus issue. I fixed it by starting my Computer in Safe Mode F8, then doing a Virus Scan.

How I figured this out is when I reformatted my hard drive, the problem still existed; there fore the only place for the information to hide was in the Boot Sector.

When You Virus Scan in Safe Mode, the Virus cannot Hide Itself from the Scanner. At least this one worked for Me.
